Gotcha - that makes sense.

Made my fair share of foolish trail mistakes, hopefully this wasn't one of those of the beer holding variety.

Moral of the story, do your dumb shit, your risky shit, your "I'm going to try this" shit, your "hold my beer shit, or any other shit you don't want the world to see, around trusted friends, not on a public run.

It is unfortunate that it is out there. However, in this day and age, it's impossible to stop

Somewhat disagree. I’ve been on TRR, RTF and Snoball runs and shit happens, wrecks, hitting a tree and even a roll. Organizer makes it very clear not to post shit on social media in a mandatory meeting and does not assume people know this. People at these events do not and have respect to those affected and leave it up to the truck owner to post when they are ready. If an organizer finds out that it has happened, it is usually immediately discussed with the individual. I know this personally because when I had an incident, it did get posted but was able to get it off before it spread. Granted that was 3 years ago.

its amazing how people are so quick to post these online. figured people would have better things to do rather than play paparazzi over someones unfortunate event

You not on Social Media sites? Facebook/Instagram, everyone races to be the 1st to post!!!! They think they are TMZ or some shit

It's an unwritten rule around here that you don't post stuff like that until after the insurance proceedings have been settled. That's really the root of it.

Now, it is written and gospel. Much appreciated for the heads up.

It was a guy and his son. The son had a helmet on and both only suffered minor scrapes and soreness apparently.

Some very good news in the midst of bad.

no, actually i dont have accounts for either of those. i think that social media has gone too far into peoples lives. good thing is everyone is ok and they walked away from the wreck. this video was sent to me privately shortly after it happened. i sure as hell, am not posting anyones misfortune online. i went through a similiar issue 4 years ago but there was no video footage of my wreck, just lots of ******** posts surrounding it. i respect peoples privacy and their need to keep their issues to themselves.
