All Gen 1's are SVT. FORD dropped SVT all together after final production of the 2014 Raptors. Gen 2's are now under "FORD Performance" as with all other performance vehicles made after 2014.

Thanks.... Looking for a Raptor.
The value is strong on used Raptors.
Considering new, drive it for a while, seems like I wont loose all that much in 3 or 4 years.

Not to start yet another debate. The resale value of a Gen 1 is very strong the reason, well there is debate, but regardless of the reason you choose it is still up there. The Gen 2 does not have the same track record-yet. Mainly it seems folks waited so long to get um, they are keeping them. In time the Gen 2 may produce the same high resale. But there is a chance not, so I would think you are kinda rolling the dice if you with a new Gen 2. IF and I MEAN HUUUUUUGE IF, they do drop the rumored 7.0 in a Gen 3 I would think the Gen 2 would fall on it's face. Good Luck

Agree - buy a gen1 and you won’t lose much value if you sell in a few years. The gen2 is developing a bad reputation for issues, plus Ford will realize at some point that they need to get an 8cyl back in. Just marketing so that they can sell more as there is a large, untapped market for those wanting the 8cyl.

Of course MGD is a troll and completely full of shit, but beyond that....

Buy the one that you want. Both my Gen1's were great and my Gen2 is as well. MGD likely has never owned anything but a cheap computer and a 4th grade education.

Agree the Gen 1 has held value well. With the mark up on the Gen 2 and the demand the value is there still but only time will tell what it does. I think it will be fine. I have a 2018 coming in next week and will compare it with my 2013 supercharged Gen 1 but plan to sell my Gen 1 as I can't see how the 2018 won't be better across the board. This will be my 4th Raptor. I started with a 2010 6.2 scab then on to. 2012 screw that had the "drive line clink" Ford fixed and gave me an extended warranty and free oil changes for 4 years so can't complain about that and my 2013 had a new short block that Ford did under warranty. So with over 100k miles in 3 trucks over the last 8 years I can't complain with the few things that have gone wrong and Ford fixed them all.

Get whatever one you like more and what fits your needs. I know when I list my Gen 1 in the next week or so it will be around 48k-50k depending what I leave on the truck.

I do think it's interesting how the Gen 1 value has stayed relatively strong and landed in a price range that comfortably below the Gen 2, which means the Raptor marquee now actually is obtainable at a much broader range of prices.
