Thug. Wait for the 2019. Thats what I am going to do...its final. Almost bought a 2018 the other day, close to what I would have optioned, but passed.

Wait for the mildly refreshed 2019 (bet she gets new grill and lights).

We can start another 'support' thread for fellas that are waiting. Its hard I know.

It wouldn't be so difficult if the used one was farther away from me. Not to mention it's rare to find an Scab with 802a in my first color choice anywhere even remotely close to where I live. I'm also just sitting around the house doing absolutely nothing after having an emergency appendectomy Monday morning. I have family 15 minutes from this dealer, so the plan was to drive up there, buy this truck and visit Texas Motorworx for wheels and bumper while I was spending a few days in the DFW area. It could've worked out, but likely will not!

At least now there’s a market and the negotiation is how much under MSRP we’re paying, rather than early ’17 when it was how much over some were willing to pay.

good luck.

I inquired about this truck and was told there was a 15K dealer markup above the asking price. All their new raptors have an ADM too. Watch your back with this dealer...

So I woke up this morning and got an email alert that the asking price was dropped 1k to 55999. I drove to Dallas (Rockwall) this morning, go there about 1230 and took the truck for a spin. Eventually got them down to 60k OTD with my trade breaking even, but decided to not pull the trigger on this truck. I just couldn't bring myself to buying a one year old first year of the GEN2 for 60K and paying only 8k less than what I can buy a new one for.

BTW, this greedy Ford dealer is asking 15k over on two inventory Screws. I was talking about the msrp thread on this site and the discussion led to the salesman saying they sold two Raptors this past Saturday at 15k over. It's unreal how many people aren't willing to research and just throw money away.

Price is as advertised. Their new ones are 15k over. This is a solid Scab with no signs of issues. The only thing I found wrong with it is the bracket that holds the brake lines was broken causing the lines to hang about 3" from the frame. A quick fix by the dealership and it's good. It was clean and taken care of. Dealer offered to certify it and give additional 12k warranty on top of what is remaining on the warranty coverage.

I’ll bet if you go back a few years, you’ll see the rate of problems for the 17 is not statistically worse than previous years.

That said, I see your financial point here.
Score an under MSRP deal that works for you. get what you want.

I had a deposit on a 2018 then I called the dealer and told them that I was going to hold on till the 2019 comes out, they were not happy due to their allocations (I guess they need to sell those before they are able to buy another one, in their case seems like that they have 2 allocations at any given time)

Look, GMC and RAM has two brand new game change trucks, if Ford is stupid of not updating their trucks for 2019 they will loose a big share of their market.

I believe anyone here waiting for the 2019 the waiting time will be well worth it.

Dude, what are you smoking? Raptor is only 2 years old and F-150 line was refreshed this year. GM and Ram are the ones lagging and in desperate need of an update.

Aside from the change to 6.2L and adding the SCREW in the first year, the G1 only saw incremental updates over 5 years. But I'm sure the Wi-Fi hotspot in 2019 will be totally worth the wait.
