Do these make the loud clanking noise (like if you have a broken leaf spring) Im told that the kings rear shock does and this is normal.

That sound you’re hearing is the bypasses on the rear shock. That sound you’re hearing is the metal on metal of the valves closing as the shock piston moves throughout the shock cylinder.

While the sound is audible on the Fox shocks, it is not as loud as the King bypass on the rear shocks.

That being said, the sound is normal and we have not had any complaints from any of our customers.

Note: The Front shocks do NOT make any sound as they don’t have bypasses.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Nick, the noise is very loud and only comming from one shock, You definitely wouldn't put these on and drive around a brand new truck making this noise. It sounds like the whole rear Axel is loose. I will upload a video of the sound.

Thanks for the reply

ye I complained to the guys who I bought them off, sent them back and they had kings look at em, they are trying to tell me they sound normal, Not buying that shit, they make my truck sound like I bought it from a junk yard. no one would put them on a new truck if this was the sound you are expected to live with. I know there is some clicking sound from the bypass but not a loud banging noise like my truck is bottoming out every time I drive over a pebble

thinking of purchasing a set of front shocks for my Gen 2. Do you think there is any interest of someone wanting to buy the stock Fox shock? Not sure if they work on the Gen 1 trucks?
