Thank you very much. Sucks those first 2 can't be tweaked.

You lost me on the 3rd one though lol...I had a buddy help me so only been in and out of there once to get what I got done done...So please clarify, for APIM I'd go where exactly? And for the Value 7D0-02-01XXXX XXXX **** what exactly am I trying to change for a Value/Values?

When you connect in FORScan: if it lists an IPMB module being found in your truck I wouldn't even bother with trying to remove the split screen. If you don't have an IPMB, tell me your current values in APIM at 7D0-02-01 and I can give you a value to try.

FYI: when I list something like APIM 7D0-02-01 xxxx xxxx **** it means we're only concerned with the value in the position where the asterisk is at the 7D0-02-01 address. If you read the tutorial in my signature under "Programming - Advanced Method" this should make sense.

Guys with 2018s who want to be able to change ambient lighting color, see this thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2018...ative-ssm-46841-a-395369/index10/#post5509261

For some reason starting with the 2018s Ford did away with the ability to change the ambient lighting colors and owners are stuck with it being a blue color. Anyways, it urns out that you can replace the ambient LEDs with previous year's color changing ones and enable the Ambient Lighting menu on Sync 3 via FORScan with the change below and change colors.

7D0-01-02 **** xxxx xxxx Door Keypad Menu (DKM) & Ambient Lighting (AL): 8=DKM disabled & AL disabled, 9=DKM enabled & AL disabled, A=DKM disabled & AL enabled, B=DKM enabled & AL enabled

thanks for all the forscan info. its been very helpful to me and i was able to make several much needed changes to my truck.

i do have a question though. On some of the items I want to change, i can adjust the values but there is no restore or write button beside that line.

Any idea on what i should do?

If there's not a write button at the end of the line you want to program choose the next write button down or you can click "write all" at the bottom of the screen. Some addresses are grouped so there's only one write button for that group of addresses.

On the vehicle settings menu in the dash, you can modify the delay. I believe you can choose from 3 options up to a 120 second delay.

That controls the exit lighting delay (how long they stay on after the vehicle is shut off). There is currently no way to change the sensitivity of the sensor for the auto on/off feature.

Many thanks to Livnitup. I have disabled the start/stop on my truck. Life is much better now. I also like how my mirrors fold in automatically when I lock the truck. So cool to have the ability to tweak these things. Thanks again Livnitup for sharing this info!

Hey all

I read most of this thread but have a couple of questions.

Can this be used on a mac or must it be done with a windows machine to change the things i want to? It appears the apps out there are just readers and cannot write?

Also, what is the best equipment to buy with it for the connection?

This guy. You obviously didn't read almost anything, since you're asking questions that are literally on the first page of the guide.
