Well, garage says 6' 8" on way in. There is a low point clearly labeled 6' 4" that I need to pass under (or very close to)-- it's right where the gate is and unless I hug left side with mirrors folded in, it will pass across top.. I think the low point is higher than 6' 4" because my 2014 fits under it just fine. My guess is that the 2017 is 1/2 or 3/4 inches higher. Just enough to make a difference here.

I'm thinking of trying that (but with cinder blocks or 45lb plates instead of fat chicks).

Ultimately I need to fit a 2017/2018 Raptor in a 6'5" height max office garage. (Need to solve for the height issue before buying.) Anyone have an opinion/other suggestion on this? Best idea is "park somewhere else" but that won't work unfortunately.

I tried to put my new Raptor in a garage advertised at 6'-8. That bar across the entrance was the first obstacle. the front of the cab cleared just fine, but as i eased forward the gap kept closing. When the cab was half way through I was down to less than an inch clear and lost my nerve. The truck has less that 200 miles and no way was I going to damage it. Moral of this story is do not blindly accept what you see on the clearance signs.

I found another garage a bit farther away with 6'10 clearance and that's where I'm parking now. Only problem is my antenna slaps a concrete beam about every 20 feet all the way up and back down. I know I could change or shorten the antenna, but it hasn't make it to the top of my priority list yet.

2 fat chick = 1 slender chick. Just load more chicks.

#mostcorrectanswer.

It will be impossible to look cool if you get stuck, or impact the ceiling of the garage. The lowest I’ve attempted reads 6’8”, but there are a few Jeep drivers there I spoke with and their jeeps are 1.5” taller than the Rap. Even so, I went in the structure with my buddy and a tape measure. My antenna drags all over in multiple garages. It’s a wear part, if I need to, I’ll replace it.

I rented a Raptor in Beverly Hills for this specific reason. 6'6" does clear but the antennae was banging off everything. The truck was a 2017 super crew with bead lock wheels (not sure if that matters). I did multiple structures at my gym and at Cedars Sinai and had no issues other than my own insane heart palpitations. There looked to be 2.5" of clearance, but ho slow since there is plenty of travel in the suspension. Ramps between levels were the hardest part for me but it never got close.

Our house garage is 6'8" i.e. 80" and read the raptor height to be 78.5". So tried and only thing that stuck in the garage door was antenna. Changed out for a stubby antenna and now raptor fits perfect with our Audi Q5.
