I went with the Air 80 ceramic tint on my windshield. Great investment to keep the inside temperature cooler and help protect the dash while sitting outside all day in the sun.

Man. This is interesting info. I'm surprised to hear you guys say that Polarized glasses aren't a problem. My side windows show banding like crazy and there's NO WAY I'd want that out the front view!
Wonder what gives?

My last Raptor had 3M Crystalline, and this one has SolarGard (or Sun-Gard...forgot). [emoji34]

I mean, every once and a while I can catch it, but i've quickly been able to ignore it. It's not as bad as you say it is, and only specific situations it shows

Any issues with polarized glasses?

The responses are interesting. If I had to boil it down I would say it is mostly about the tint type you select. Ceramic seems to be the route to go to lessen the chance of banding with polarized glasses.

You are correct. My truck has ceramic Air 80 on the front windshield and 100% metallized tint on all the other windows. You can barely notice the "rainbow" effect on the front ceramic tinted window compared to the side windows. The only time I really notice it on the front window if it is a very overcast day then I see the "rainbow" effect when you look up at the sky. It doesn't bother me at all for driving. Also you can always just keep non polarized glasses in the car for driving.

I put Llumar Air 80 on all my WS and moon roofs plus an overlay on the rear "colored" glass (factory glass isn't tinted)

Ceramic 80% on my windshield. All my sunglasses are polarized too, no issues. Possibly relating to proximity? I see the checkerboard effect on other cars on the road...

I'm semi blind at night, so prob not helping my visibility... But it looks good and keep truck cooler in sun ;)
