I have never lost a key in my life but yesterday I had the wonderful experience of losing key with 3 kids in tow 2 hours from home.
I borrowed a car and got the spare, 5 hours to think about it going back and forth.
Anyway, how hard is it to program the new one I will order on Tuesday or does it come programmed because you need a VIN to order.
Thanks ----

Yeah what they said. I bought some spares when I bought the truck, just in case.

Good luck!

I did read that if I have 2 already I can do it myself but I am down to the back up key.
I called the dealer and they said they had keys but have to hook the truck up to the computer. oh well. Can you re-program existing key? I have the same key fob from an Explorer Sport that is sold. Wondering if I can use that.

Anyone have a good link to a spare fob? I found a few on Ebay, but I'm not positive they're the right ones.
Figured I probably ought to get one while I still have both my fobs. Sorry that OP lost his, but I'm happy to learn from others. I'm sure I'll lose mine at some point!

I have a fob without tailgate release and it works good, so you have choice

A real good rfid wallet will kill the keyless fob so you can leave one in the truck. I had to put it under back seat. Should be able to make something. Use door pad to get in, and you still have a key

I bought an extra FOB from the dealer. Had trouble programming it. Manual is incorrect.
Bottom of forward cup holder under rubber coaster. Just place the FOBs in the hole at the bottom and start sequences.

Got this from another site it works note that Start/Stop is one button push.
To program 2017 Raptor keyless FOB perform the following:
1 Place first programmed passive key in the backup starting location
2 Press Start/Stop button
3 Wait 5 Seconds
4 Press Start/Stop button
5 Remove the first programmed passive key from the backup starting location
6 Within 10 Seconds, Place the second programmed passive key in the backup starting position
7 Press Start/Stop button
8 Wait 5 Seconds
9 Press Start/Stop button
10 Remove the second programmed passive key from the backup starting location
11 Wait 5 Seconds
12 Place unprogrammed passive key in the backup starting location
13 Press Start/Stop button
14 Wait 5 Seconds
15 Press Start/Stop button

The good news is I had an extra key from a 15 Explorer Sport that I took with me to the dealer today and that key worked perfectly after the re-program. saved a few bucks. They charged me $40. to program existing key. So far so good.
