2017 Raptor Twin Panel Moonroof or Not?

My panorama roof on my last Land Rover was nice, I did have to replace the glass twice, when off-roading it would get a small rock trapped under side edge and cause it to crack. I don't know if I would want one for the Raptor if I was serious about off-road but for a street queen go for it.

I couldn't decide on it at first but am very happy I got it...

The SCREW I found for sale (didn't pre order) had the moonroof and so far I love it! I open it and the rear sliding window and if it's not raining that's my normal driving mode on the highway. The few people I have had in the back really seem to like it as well.

I couldn't decide on the moonroof or the sunroof. So I got the twin panel.

Seriously. I've always wondered this. What the hell is the difference between the two?

Sunroof is typically old school body colored panel that can be removed....moonroof is more modern glass panel that slides....at least that's how I think of it....

The time of day....

Originally a sunroof was a solid body-colored panel that could pop up or be removed, whereas the term moonroof was introduced in the 1970’s to describe any panel in the vehicle’s roof that is made of glass. Today sunroof is simply a generic term used to describe any panel in the roof of a vehicle which lets in light and/or air.

Moonroof is now most commonly used to describe glass where the panel slides between the vehicle roof and headliner. The majority of new cars technically have moonroofs, as what was originally considered a sunroof has pretty much gone out of style.

Does the front portion have both a tilt and slide ability?

Yes it does. Rear portion is completely stationary.
