2014 SCAB with stock exhaust and ICON RXT springs and shocks. At full droop, the springs are hitting the exhaust hard enough to impair suspension on the way to full droop. Called ICON tech support and was actually referred to an engineer who says this is normal, don't worry about it. I don't buy that. Has anyone else run across this issue? Obviously need an exhaust modification, but curious how others have modified the exhaust.

I'd be fine w/that, larger concern would be the pipe breaking off the nearest exhaust hanger, but that's unlikely based in the slight rubbing here.

I'd go with it, but I'm wreckless I suppose. These abrasion don't appear to be blunt metal on metal, just glancing or rubbing.

Exhaust gets hit just from off-roading especially where it exits out the rear behind the tire. Pretty much just gets in the way. I've cut mine over the axle. You will find that most will cut their exhaust before the axle too or just use an aftermarket one with a turn down.

Seems you start upgrading and it always leads to making changes elsewhere. Did you add the extra leaf?

Exactly what he said. I was talked into a turndown right away. Went to TRR and watched three stock trucks break their exhaust off and just load it into their bed. It also happened with two trucks on a Vegas run.

I should add this was an issue when I ran WSI leafs too. So not an ICON RXT thing. Folks with Deavers also cut their exhaust.

I had my bone stock Raptor destroy the factory exhaust years ago. Both on compression and extension. The exhaust is going to flex and move around in those rubber bushing hangers and will hit regardless of springs or otherwise. Like everyone says, if your going to push that hard that much save yourself the trouble and upgrade or modify the exhaust to exit before the axle.

I can't believe anyone keeps the stock exhaust, at least dump it.
