The orange band in the center of the steering wheel is so you know when your tires/wheels are straight. Pretty clever actually.
Comes in handy when high speed offroading.

It's kind of orange so think of it as KTM orange and it won't bother you anymore...

Haha, I wish it were KTM orange...lol

Congrats on your new Raptor, now enjoy the fun!!! If it makes you feel better, a Gen 1 is the same, most times it takes a while for the trans temp to come up, even longer once you chip it. As for seeing what gear your are in and it going away, it is you doing it, inadvertently. Next time you get in your truck, put it in drive, then press either up or down on manual shift, you will see the numbers appear and disappear each time you do it. Now you know how to turn it on and off.

Yeah, I was always able to get it back...just not sure why it was intermittent....but I think it has something to do with what gear you were in when you switched from manual to drive.

I was thinking that it isn't that hard to figure out, but I guess when your wheel it clocked one direction at 80 across whoops, it's handy to know where center is!

Very nice, congrats! I will soon be making a similar journey of my own... though not quite as far (~1200 miles).

I'm glad to hear that it was such a comfortable drive for you (despite the fatigue).

Yeah, all the creature comforts make it an easy drive, almost too easy, haha.

The cab also does a good job of isolating outside noise...

Man you must haul tail! I've made the trip from Coeur D' Alene, ID to Denver a couple times and that will take me every bit of 18 hours just to go 1000 miles. I'm normally going 80-85 on the HWYS.

Congrats on the truck. Looks good!

1st off....yes I stalked out your profile to see new threads started since I figured you probably posted up when you got it haha.

Pretty cool story, and one long *** treck! Congrats on the truck! Next time I'm out to SD hopefully I can catch a ride in it, although it may not help trying to convince myself to keep my gen 1 for another 2 years.
