Roush boost gauge

I assume the power wire to the boost gauge is only for the light, the gauge should work regardless of power supplied so I was going to tap power from a dimmable source.

Not much for input on this option from this thread, I will post back if this works.

Update:

I connected the gauge red wire temporarily to the variable output wire found on back of light switch. Using dimmer will do the following: Turns off LED light when set to very dim, turns on gauge LED but in RED at a medium setting and on max will turn on white LED (does not dim very much).

Very excited to find out the RED LED option, this is probably how it was intended to be installed by setting 3 position switch with varied voltage to activate the RED LED.
