I wasn't going to run my new wheels & tires until the spring but after seeing how good the stockers look powder coated I'm pulling them off today and have them done this wk and putting them right back on.

Curious, do most powder coaters operate through a wheel/tire store in order that they can remove and then rebalance tires after having been coated? Need to have mine done.

All the powder coaters I have dealt with u have to take your wheels in to them. And most will take a week or so to get it done.

most if not all will make you bring the wheels unmounted so you will have to bring them to be dismounted, then the wheels to the coater, pick them up and bring that back to be mounted. its a pain in the ass but well worth it if you have a way to transport the wheels while the truck sits.

the coater i use is very good and has gotten parts done for me the same day ive dropped them off. im going to ask him to do this as i will need the truck ASAP or ill have to wait till spring so i can drive one of my other cars while the wheels get done... winter sucks here.

My truck should be in this weekend and I've planned to powder coat my wheels also since i say they polished them. I'm thinking of going the dark grey like in this picture. has anyone done this color yet?FordRaptorwheel.jpg
