My bad, I didnt see the official announcement from Ford that the 2020 Raptor would be a hybrid.

Ok as long as it has 500HP

I don't think there is anyone here that "Hates" a TTV6, it's just that some here don't like the TTV6 in their trucks.
Me personally, I just don't like the V6.
And as to driving a golf cart, on the golf course yes; otherwise I'll be driving my Gen1 with a 6.2L V8!

If Ford does it right it won't be as bad as you might think - if Ford does it right. My other car is a BMW i8, which is BMW's Supercar. A 3 cylinder turbo-charged engine in the back coupled to a six speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor in the front coupled to a two speed automatic transmission. It has three driving modes; all electric which works for about 20 miles, eco which is electric only or electric and gas - depending, and sport which is electric and gas combined. Driven hard in sport yields me about 39mpg, eco would give me mileage in the high 70mpg, but hey sport is way more fun. Everything works seamlessly and the acceleration is super quick because electric motors give you all their horsepower/torque beginning at 1 rpm.

The limiting factor currently is battery technology. Lithium-air is the most exciting, having potentially the same energy as gasoline.

The i8 is BMW showing the world that Hybrid technology can be fast and exciting. Time will tell if Ford takes a similar path.

Oh yea, just like the '17 Raptor, the exhaust note of the i8 is "digitally enhanced", also the future apparently.

Unclear why some of you guys think just because there may be a hybrid version of the F150 in the future it means there couldn't be a V8 Raptor?

Is this is just wishful thinking because you know what will happen to your resale value if the V8 model does come along or are you actually basing this on something concrete?

Sounds like the perfect setup to help offset the YUUUGE V8 they plan on sticking in the gen2..

Sounds like the same resale loss the Gen 1 guys are taking since the Gen 2's have been announced, LOL...
