I recently went to the Best in the Desert race series and even the trophy trucks with V6 had a similar sound. Even those high dollar trucks sounded very different then the V8's. It's just the V6, not much Ford could do about the sound. Although the Raptor does sound a lot better from within the cab. :)

What about putting an electronic exhaust cut-out on the truck? I don't know how it would sound with a V6, but it does make a V8 sound like a monster.

This truck sounds great.

I'd like to hear a production stock V8 vs. this truck measured, with hard data and analysis.

The Focus RS sounds great and it is only four cylinders. Most of you have likely never heard one. It sounds fantastic inside and out.

I'd be willing to bet that even if presented with hard data, most here are conditioned to prefer the sound of two more cylinders, even when that isn't the case.

What exactly does an extra two cylinders buy from a sound perspective? Why not a 12 cylinder?

None of this matters because 90% just think vehicles sound good because they are loud.

Think of all the douches that cut off mufflers or put on cherry bombs or blowmasters on their trucks or fart cans on their stock ricers and all the sudden they think (and drive) like they have some sort of purpose built racer... revving at every stop light etc.

So if you make this truck loud, it will sound good. Period! haha.
