Ok guys we're getting a little off topic. Please try and keep this to dealers selling near invoice so in case someone actually gets one near invoice, I'll see it and be able to post it on top down the road.

Thanks!

I wouldn't say I feel lucky to pay MSRP. However considering all of the hype and ridiculous markup that most dealers are wanting, I don't feel like I got a bad deal. In my 30 years of buying cars, I have never paid MSRP and certainly never over. That being said, I have never ordered a new vehicle. I have always worked deals on dealer stock. That plays a big part in negotiating. If someone was able to order one for less than MSRP, good for them. I am ok with the deal I got and am buying from a reputable dealer that I have bought from before and will continue to have a good long term relationship with.

Ordering a Raptor is where you have the buying power, not taking from dealer stock. They want the truck on the lot and they can sell it anytime they want. They wait for suckers that have to have it to pay crazy ADMs.

If you want a deal, wait for them to hit the ground. Or at least for Ford to confirm things. The first batch of people always pay the "gotta have it" tax.

Well, I'm back.

Sold my 2012 with 3k on it back in 2014 when they announced the new ones were coming out.

I just ordered a 70k MSRP Avalanche 2017 from a little small town dealer this time. Confirmed allocation, put in as a dealer stock order (modified to my specs) for $2500 under MSRP with zero doc fee.

Now, just sit and wait.

You can remove Tom Jones Ford Buckeye AZ off that list. Several of us have received emails stating they want $5K over MSRP on the 17' Raptors. They used to make good deals on the 14' Raptors but not anymore.

Made an annotation but did not delete just in case down the road things change.

After talking to a dozen dealers finally went to one who agreed to sell at MSRP. They claim I am "5th in line". Order # on confirmation form: 9999 and Priority: 80. Is this thing ever going to come in?

I'm kidding. It will get to you. Dealer stock will be built first if I remember correctly

LOL im just super nervous because I know how dealers like to be sneaky and hide things. Filled out the whole order form but didn't have a check with me so have to bring the 2k deposit in on Thursday.

Thought it seemed a little strange they would order it as a dealer stock, but maybe thats just how the allocation is structured. I will still bring it up to them before I hand over my deposit and lose all the power once ordered.

This is a reputable larger dealer with 4.5 star average reviews. Still hate the dealer runaround and games we all have to deal with.
