2017 F-150 3.5 TT making more HP/TQ than expected.

Not EXACTLY 2017 Raptor specific but Ford has come out and said the new 3.5 eco they are putting into their 2017 f-150 line (not the Raptor High Output version) is making more HP/TQ than expected.

Old numbers from a few months ago: 365hp and 450 lb-ft of tq.
New numbers as of today: 375hp and 470 lb-ft of tq.

Id expect the Raptor high output version will push passed 500 lb-ft of tq.

Those are impressive numbers. It's amazing what they have done with these little motors.

The Raptor will have larger turbos so we may be seeing some impressive numbers. I am guessing 450/550.

I have a feeling these trucks are going to be a lot of fun stock or with just a tune. Hopefully they get some good internals that can take some extra boost.

They have beefier pistons, intake, and turbos. The current 3.5 eco can make around 100 extra HP with just an intake, exhaust, and mild tune. This new HO 3.5 eco is going to be a beast when its tuned.

When @Jimbo orders his '17, he told me he's getting the extra thick zip-ties option!

Coming from a forced induction background, dollar for dollar, modding this new motor is going net a ton more power than the older NA model.

the thing is going to move...while i don't anticipate ever buying one, i'd love to see it in action in person

Hope they make the timing chains beefier...Current ones not so great
