Here's mine from this morning. We just used the old mbrp 3.5" piping and turn down. Threw the race venom in and added some real hangers.

I imagine with the long tubes and no cats, or even high flow cats it's going to sound down right nasty. Now I'm regretting selling those long tubes and will probably end up buying another set after we move.
That looks super clean. I went with the high flow cats just to be safe. I do plenty of interstate driving and didn't want it to be too obnoxious. I need to get some hangers and piping waiting on me when I return.

I've had a 20" for about a year now with stock headers and it is exactly that, no drone with a clean deep sound. I originally had a 16", but that was too loud for me on long trips at freeway speed. This clip is of the 16". Keith @dirtydeeds was great to work with and is very flexible to get you the product that you'll be happy with. https://vimeo.com/173073927

Thanks for the mention.

Totally bolt on. Drone free. And waaaay over built.

I have a mbrp turn down before the axle with the resonator as of now but, plan on ditching the mbrp muffler for a black widow race venom, so I will be able to compare them by next week. But truthfully the mbrp is pretty nice, I just get bored and want to change it up. Right now I am looking for something a little nastier, and I am hoping the race venom will fit the bill without being horrible at highway speeds. For now the mbrp has a nice deep idle, and not to loud start up, with about a mud tire level of drone at highway speed. Also does anybody have any recommendations as to where I should mount the muffler, closer to the down turn like the above setup or more towards the middle. I am curious what effect it might have on sound.

Keep the muffler mounted as close to stock location as possible. I had a custom side-exit made with a simple Magnaflow muffler, but with the muffler being mounted basically under the rear cab, I switched it back to stock location and dumped the exhaust next to the spare. HUGE difference! And FYI, I left the resonator alone for both set-ups. Hope that helps.

I have a magnaflow exhaust on my truck (2010 5.4) with stock headers and its not super loud on start up and at cruising speed the drone is minimal but when you stomp on it she wakes up and sounds great its a deeper growl. this might be an option for you if you're looking for something a little more tame.

Thanks for the tip, I think I will keep be keeping it close to the stock location now that I got my old mbrp off yesterday. I even managed to get it off with out beating it up to bad. Now i am hoping to have the black widow on tonight when I get home.

I got the MBPR dump with resonator on mine , everything else stock . No drone at highway , quiet / soft rumble at idle and gets louder when you get on it . Not obnoxious to me at all. I liked the price of it as well compared to most of the other catbacks . I plan to add Long tubes and no cats later on but not sure it will be the same then or maybe do a custom set up at that point.

I have the MBRP turn down with no resonator, stock y-pipe, the drone drives me nuts. I didnt really think of it until I was out smashing thru the forest last week. If you do go the MBRP route, Id suggest the resonator model.

I may add a resonator, or do my own side exhaust with the factory pipe off the Y-pipe. Anything to get the sound out from under the bed
