My 13 quit on the highway Friday. Had it towed to the dealer. He diagnosed the fuse issue for the fuel pump and quoted me $387.00 to repair. I am about 1,000 miles out of warranty even though there is a TSB on it. My first Ford in many years, and maybe my last...

Report it to NHTSA https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ and then just do the TSB yourself. $387 is robbery.

Ridiculous!
I paid about $150 (don't remember the exact price) to an out of town dealer who foxed my truck before the tsb and repair kit was even available.

Does the $387 include the tow?

The$ 380 is close to what I was quoted. $400. Fight it I had a long conversation with dealership and explained it was a TSB and even went as far as showing him the kit price was around $20.00 labor could not be the remaining. After going back and forward I just told him I would contact Ford directly to complain about the price and the service he caved in and charged me $150. I still think it's high but better than $400.

^ Agreed, that's still costly but it is better than when you were initially facing $400.

Definitely take a moment to file a complaint about fuse 27 w/ NHTSA (this goes for others who might be new-to-Raptor and come across this thread via a search, etc).

If enough 2009-2014 model year Raptor and F-150 owners (yeah, that's a LOT of pickup trucks!) document this fuel pump circuit failure, perhaps the beancounters at Ford corporate will be forced into turning the TSB into a recall by NHTSA (doubtful, but hey ya never know!).

Simply follow the URL that @155mm posted in an earlier post of this very same thread:

My kit came with instructions that have pictures for the install. Is that what you mean?

Can you upload the instructions or someone explain what the install is like? Just wondering if this is something I am capable to do myself or need the stealership to do it.

Instructions in the FB Group.

If you are comfortable with a soldering iron it's cake. The worst part is getting the courage to cut a wire in your fuse box, I checked that thing about 20x's before I made the cut. I think it took me an hour, but I was going slow and checking everything as I went. I think others have done it in under 1/2 hour. Initially I was going to have the dealer do it if they came in under $100, but now that I've done it I'm glad I did. My dealer can't even get the plug wires to stay on, I don't want them in my fuse box.

OK I give up. How do you pull fuse 27? Trying to do the tsb and can't get the fuse out. I've not applied any heroic effort yet as I'm figuring it should be simple.

Any help?
