So for the last month I've been hearing a hissing sound during acceleration; usually at slower speeds b/c there isn't a whole lot of wheel noise. Almost sounds like ford snuck a small turbo inside...lol

Let me hear your thoughts! Thanks!

EDIT: I should probably mention that its a 2014 SCREW w/ 34k miles. Oil changed in March. Due for routine maintenance 1 July.

I'm wondering if you're hearing what I'm hearing...

I've been noticing that for the last few weeks now... My noise (mainly at low speed and 1st gear) bears a resemblance to the whine you get when your power steering pump is working hard in a turn.

Problem is that I'm not turning and it goes away as you get into the higher gears... (or it's that I don't notice it as easily due to road/tire noise)

Yeah might be. Ill be taking the truck in for service end of June and will definitely inquire about this.

also check your air filter. if it is dirty and air doesnt pass through well, it can cause this noise too. dont rely on the service dept to replace or even check it when its in for service.

What? I'm supposed to clean something! Maybe just sell it. Vintage air filter should boost the price pretty good, eh?

when you spend 3k on the service plan, you would expect this to be done. however ford service sucks ass and every dealership i have taken my truck in for service has never checked or changed it. i have bought 3 of them so far
