I'm totally with you on the traction part. I'm actually pretty surprised how terrible the traction is in rainy conditions. I'm going to be looking into aftermarket tires and adding some weight to the truck (bumpers, etc.) to see if that helps.

This is something I've thought about actually, didn't know if it fit the "common sense" bill of what I was thinking. My concern with that was that I had my Gen 1 Raptor decked out in ADD goodies (Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, and Beefy Tires and rims and didn't have this issue of hydroplaning...

The plan is to get some good tires/rims once I find them but until then it looks like I will just have to temper my foot so that I don't hydroplane!

I'm hoping you're right with this because I didn't know that was a thing for there to be a film on new tires? I got about 2500 miles on it so far.
