Like others have said, its the aftermarket cables, I've never had issues with Apple brand cable. Also make sure you plug the phone in AFTER you start the truck and the system finished its startup.

not sure how to "PM"you so ill put it here. I have a base Raptor (800A) and want to upgrade the Sound quality a bit, likely just replace speakers and add a behind the seat subwoofer. Finding info on the base system has been troublesome. Hoping you can help me out. Would like to stay in 750-1500...

They confirmed that they are replacing backup cameras like crazy, and although it appears so, could not confirm upgraded definition. The cameras are currently on back order through Ford.
