I've had few installed and never even thought about doing it myself. Whatever route you take, I suggest wait a little. I ordered mine in late November, and I had part shipped to my dealer in drops. Finally I think mechanical parts have arrived, but instructions are missing and tune is still not...
It a long process. They sent kit that was not complete with hoses and pcm. Now stuff has been shipped I think ti should be at the dealer finally. It took good three months to get the kit.
I also got new hood, but manufacturer sent Gen2 hood ;-( it only took 4 months to arrive.
I have the kit and it is being still installed. Kit came without instructions, but my dealer has installed many GT500 and they are thinking they can do it without the instructions. Unfortunately I've been way to busy to come back to this and we are still waiting other parts to come in.
I will probably be one of the first ones to get as they supercharger will be the one testing partner has from Whipple.Just today I was told it is about a week out. So I should have more info in few weeks.
My R just arrived to the dealer and I’m wondering if the oil leak issue has been fixed by Ford or should I ask dealer to fix it before taking the delivery?
Can someone spill the details of what the leak is, so that I can ask dealer to have it checked?
Those of you took delivery recently do you know if you still have the heated steering wheel, but is is disabled? Or did Ford switch steering wheel to non-heated?
I agree. For me the goal is to try to retain factory type of sound system, but with better quality speakers. All speakers can be updated except the ones in headrests. I don't want to go full retard, but add more bass, kill all rattle and make the cabin more settle.
