Hey tltoronto, I'm about to pull the trigger on a Raptor in Manitoba and wanted to ask you if you think the Raptor will be able to clear a parking garage with a 2 meter (6.56 ft) clearance (TGH)? For some reason the clearance at sunnybrook hospital is 1.5 meters which is just ridiculous even for...
Y'all know how tall the 1st gen Raptor is with no modifications and stock tires? It says that it's 1.99 metres online and the underground parking downtown has a 2 metre clearance so will it pass? I feel like I'm cutting it real close! Might need to air-down before entering haha
Unfortunately I'm not the most mechanically savvy person especially when it comes to cars, though I have enough self-respect to know how to change tires, headlights, fluids, engine oil, etc. But that's about the extent of my knowledge
Hey, since you're also in the Ontario area. Are there any repair or modification shops you recommend? I don't like going to the dealers because they always seem to mess something up especially since this is an older Gen vehicle.
Thanks in advance
You guys have got me sold on the raptor for sure, now it's just finding one that's going to be hard! I couldn't care less about the gas, I have enough things to worry about in life and gas ain't one of em. I feel like the wider stance of the truck will make my highway trips more enjoyable. The...
Awesome man! Not sure about you but us boys don't get much sleep so I'd like a nice comfortable ride home. Workin on-call so it's a 5 hours drive back home after a 12 hr shift. How are the stock speakers on the truck? Gotta have the tunes pumping on the way back
118-112 for the RAPTORS. I'd say...
Finally get rid of those tailgaters once and for all! Love Toronto but whenever I come down the traffic is damn awful. Speaking of Toronto, let's see how the Raptors do tonight ;). Also, by f.f do you mean firefighter? Not very accustomed to acronyms haha
Guess the 6.2 is the way to go! I've seen about 10 raptors in my 5 years of living in parry sound ontario so maybe americans like raptors a lot more. All I see on the roads these days are regular F-150s left right and centre and mostly people just hauling groceries and kids around while the...
Thanks guys, I'm pretty sure the Raptor is the right truck for me then. Now the challenge is to find a low mileage one for a good price! What would you prefer the Tan or Black colour? I go back and forth but it may have to come down to what I can find...
Appreciate the help! Would you say that it drives heavy? I don't mind getting low gas mileage but I don't want to "feel" like I'm driving a tank down the road. Does it feel as light on its feet as a regular F-150 for is it a little more lumbering in comparison? Cheers
Thanks for the offer I'll see what I can do! Do you find it alright navigating downtown Toronto traffic and whatnot? I guess as long as it stays in the lanes (which I'm sure it will) then it'll be ok. Guess I'll be visiting the gas pump a little more than I would have liked haha. What do you do...
Hey thanks for the detailed response! Also, by later years would that be the 13 and 14? I will commute around the city often but I think it'll be worth it haha. I'll definetly post any updates but might need to travel to the US to find one. There are less than 15 listed for sale in Canada and...
Hey guys, first post on the forums regarding a "potential" future purchase! I saw a tan colored Gen-1 Raptor on the road a week ago and it has peaked my interest ever since. I currently drive a Toyota Tacoma but have always wanted to upgrade to a full-size truck. My reasons for getting a Raptor...
