My 2011 does the same thing,and when it does it there is no exeleration,but a winding out sound like a bad transmission looking for a gear. The dealer said they found nothing wrong,could not get it to do it during test run. Bottom line, they said it's probably the rev limiter.
Duct tape fix
The body shop guy at the dealer showed me the product he would use to cover the hole's after they remove the duct tape and clean the area around the hole's. It's called sound dampening material , as I stated in above post. It's a thick rubber, with a peel off adheasive back...
Droped mine at the dealer yesterday, they are removing my A.D.D bumper and the hitch. Repainting the hitch,fixing the bed rust & the rust where the spare tire hits the metal. Pluss useing sound dampening rubber adheasive tape to fix the peelin duct tape issue thats rotting our rockers.
Yes, unless you want to deal with warranty's . It sure does look good in the bed though. If you were going put a cover on the bed I would still get the good stuff.
