    Gen 2 in the Sand!

If I’m only running sand dunes and not much high speed on hard packed and not planning to do big jumps I run 14 pis front and 12 to 14 rear. A few times I’ve got into some really soft powder like sand and took the front down to 12 psi. This is on stock none beadlock wheels and stock tires. As...

GEN 2 These will sell like hot cakes-Hyundais Weapon Against the Raptor

Lol that might be a hit in the Asia Pacific market. I can’t believe how many Holden UTEs “modern day Chevy El Camino ?” I saw during my last visit to Australia. This sort of looks like an offroad version of one of those confused vehicles.

    2017+ performance question

I had 2008 Denali sierra all-wheel drive with the 403hp 6.2L and yeah I must say the 6.2L felt noticeably stronger than my 2017 Raptor. When I got my raptor I expected it to feel noticeably stronger, but it doesn’t also I only use 91+ octane. I believe the raptor is actually quicker 0-60...

    Creaking sound from leaf springs

Try having the dealer to replace the springs or the inserts between them. Mine use to squeak extremely bad. The first time the dealer lubed them which worked for a couple weeks. 2nd time they replaced the inserts between them and ~9 mos later they are still quite.

Washboard Dirt Roads = Major Problems

When my '17 was brand new I took it down a near by dirt road that was wash-boarded and nearly put it in the ditch on the first corner. I Was really disappointed on how poorly it handled the washboards. I also had the rear get excited a few time on certain rough LA freeways and had a 2nd very...

GEN 2 1st trip to play in the sand

I’ve haven’t seen any issues with the paint being sandblasted off. It definitely easier on the paint than the rock/gravel chips from high speed pre-running.

GEN 2 1st trip to play in the sand

Yep you have to get low to really perform on sand without getting stuck. I generally run 14 to 12 without beadlocks without any problem. Also if you do have a pop-out it’s generally easy to reseat the tire if you jack up the truck to get it off the ground and have a decent high volume compressor...

New Gen2 Raptor member in SoCal

Hi, I am a 2017 Raptor owner in the SoCal Area and interested to find others to go offroading with. I'm especially interested in playing in the sand dunes and finding areas for baja style offroading. Walter
