Clunk from rear going over even bumps

Following along as a newer GEN1 owner. Lots to learn after a couple decades of Jeeps.

    My Ham Radio Install

Is that 3M tape VHB? VHB would for sure be the best route in my mind due to how it fills into all the little porous areas.

    Rebuild or upgrade shocks .....??

Thanks for suggesting there; I hadn't thought about that option. I like to either replace with upgrades, or go ultra cheap if I'm just needing it temp fixed until more funds are available. I priced out all 4 corners, with shipping, and it was around $1600. That is indeed a very minimal...

    Rebuild or upgrade shocks .....??

Thanks for the feedback. That's what I think I'm going to do. From looking at the costs of the various options; this seems like the most cost effective option. Then I can do all the service myself after this initial setup.

    Rebuild or upgrade shocks .....??

I'm assuming these are from the GEN 2 I see in the image? If so, then probably too much work for them to do what I need on my GEN 1.

    Rebuild or upgrade shocks .....??

Sorry to bring back and old thread; but... How have you been liking this setup? I just got a Gen1 over the summer and realized (in a rather difficult way yesterday) that the shocks need rebuilt. I'm thinking about just ordering all the components from Forged for a Stage 1 and flutter then doing...

    LED Bulb Upgrade

Thanks for the feedback. I'll send the link over to the wife. I'm hoping to go up in brightness a touch, but nothing terrible since there are street lights for most of my driving. When I get into areas there are not (to/from work) then I just flip on some LED pods.

    LED Bulb Upgrade

So I'm looking at the HID link you provided as well as the LED links. I'm curious if that HID kit is $140 for both sides or just one? I'm planning to order something for my birthday to upgrade the headlights. I've got the stock projectors on a 2013. I do a lot of city driving and have...

    My Ham Radio Install

Thanks for the feedback OriginalToken. I had not yet considered the shearing forces on the mounting bolts. I think I may have to look into mounting this to my bed cover instead. Thanks for the thoughts. Maybe I'l be able to post up how I did things in the spring. Work looks to be rather busy for...

    My Ham Radio Install

I actually looked at this setup, but then realized I'm much to cheap. If I could find this setup for around a hundred bucks, I'd be much more willing to consider it. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to burn several hundred bucks on a mount that I could fab, machine, print for much less.

    My Ham Radio Install

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread. I picked up a Gen 1 in the summer and finally have time next week to install my radios. I'm installing a B-Tech tri band as well as a Yaseu FT100D. In time I may install a CB, but it's pretty low on my list. I rarely do much...

Looks like I may have to make my way up to this get together. I will do some Google searching later.

May Be Joining The Raptor Crowd

Next weekend at Silverlake? You have my attention... My dirtbike is out of service for a couple weeks while I redo the forks and the Jeep is parked until Labor Day plans. I've got an on board air setup that I'm moving over from the Jeep to the Raptor. As far as radios go, I've got a CB I intend...

May Be Joining The Raptor Crowd

Since everyone loves pictures, here's a shot of my Raptor with some of the other toys in the background. Nevermind my neighbor admiring the truck. I've since taken the stock rims off (they'll be used for off road only) and put another set of rims that came with it on. I'm not a fan of them...
