    i believe its glued on. i have fixed a few gen 1s that had this happen and when i installed the radar detector display in my truck i had to use a razor knife to cut the glue. im pretty sure they are all the same

    usually the esp warranty transfers. its the vehicle, not the person. at least thats what it was a couple years ago

    Which speakers with these old amps?

    yes. the weight, vibrations, potholes, etc all add up to wear on the mounting points. you can probably use t nuts and be ok, but i much prefer upfiring boxes.
