Any chance a hose from the turbo charger has blown off, burst or is loose? You should be able to hear the charged air escaping if you open the hood and check the hoses.
If water freezes in the winter where you live - don't add water. Add a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. That will ensure you don't have any problems temps go below freezing.
I don't see any advantage to the Ford unit. It's more expensive and appears to be a pain to install compared to the JLT Oil Separator. It's also much more difficult to empty. I can speak from experience that the JLT unit does a good job separating oil and it's easy to empty at each oil...
The light scratches can be buffed out - don't be too aggressive and keep the buffer on a medium speed. The deeper scratches will need to be filled with color matching touch up paint, lightly sanded and then polished. Use a 3000 grit wet sand paper that has been soaked in water for 15 minutes...
I stopped to buy fuel today and two different persons came over to admire my truck. It's a good feeling when others notice and take an interest. Thought I'd share.
The skid plate is heavy and it's a pain to hold up while trying to insert the bolts when reattaching after removal. A filter cap wrench tool attached to a ratchet wrench can be used with one hand through the port in the skid plate to facilitate the process. There is no reason to make it harder...
That's a lot of miles for a three week trip. You won't have time to stay in one place very long but I think the truck will do fine. Let us know how it went when you're back home!
I have not noticed any change in the truck from before the update. It starts, shifts and gets the same fuel mileage as before the update was installed. Others may have different results.
I don't think the receiver hitch is designed for more than 800 lb tongue weight with weight distribution. I wouldn't go over that limit for safety concerns.
Vehicles like the Raptor with very poor fuel mileage may fall out of favor very soon due to high fuel cost. Dealer prices will come down when they aren't selling. It might be a good time to sit back and wait.
Rising gasoline prices could cause Raptor values to plummet - other trucks and SUV's with low fuel economy also. It looks like gasoline is headed for $6.00 / gal due to the war in the Ukraine and they aren't likely to come back down any time soon. I wasn't planning on selling anyway, so I can...
I haven't seen any change from this time period last year, so for me there isn't any difference. I will say that there is a very good phone app called Fuelly that makes it easy to keep track of fuel and maintenance cost for your vehicles. I enter the latest mileage in the phone app, the total...
