I live in Ohio, salt, salt salt all winter long, I had a gen 1, 2012 for 7 years. Through the winter I would go to the local do it your self car wash and basically climb under it washing the underneath, the rockers were rusting anyway ( the tape was falling off, why did Ford use tape?). I got a...
Yes, use a stretch strap! When I had my old ranger I pulled out full size trucks that laughed at the thought of my little truck pulling them out of a snow filled ditch, they quit laughing real quick. And I agree, have the stuck vehicle owner attach the strap. Give it hell with a little slack...
Fellow Ohioan, welcome, tons of great information and support here if you can stand the sarcasm, lol. Suggestion, do a search before asking what oil to use [emoji12]

My 12 rattled to the point I used surgical tubing in the seals, which helped but did not completely eliminate it. My 19, not enough “having fun time” yet to determine if they will rattle or not.

I have had quite a few orders in the last 3 months that said they shipped, then I get the email “order will be late, ask for a refund if it does not show up by xx date”. I have had to call them in order to receive my refund also.
My 19 has a mysterious thump, I thought it was a rock coming loose from the tire when my speed increased? Now I have to grease the driveshaft spline and see if it goes away?
