Ford is dumbfounded on truck engines. Eco boost V6 is a terrible engine. I have never liked supercharged or turbocharged engines.
A good 5.0 V8 in any Ford truck, beats the others in every way.
I have been a V8 Ford fan for 6 decades. And when fuel injectors replaced carburetors, the technology...
I would not use a Raptor as your get out vehicle.
A new 2021 F150 with the V8 and a topper would better suit your needs. Without a doubt, you will exceed the payload and have much worse gas mileage with the Twin Turbo V6.
My 2018 Raptor is not a truck, it is more of an expensive off-road Baja...
The Phil Long group got millions of dollars in Denver from Covid loans. I had my Raptor in just before shutdown and they gave me a loaner for a week.
This is BS, they have plenty of vehicles to loan you.
Demand they get you one ASAP.
I would fly in and drive home. You get to break it in on the road and you can stay overnight in motels for less than $70 per night. It drives great in snow so unless a blizzard, weather should not interfere with travel back
The trucking industry is not what it used to be , and unless you go...
Can’t beat cooled and heated leather seats. On fabric seats or non heated leather, I always cover with custom made Sheepskins. Fabric or leather under sheepskins stays as good as new and is more comfortable than either.
I bought my Raptor instead of the fully equipped Expedition, as getting older my back just can’t handle owning a full size F250 or even the F150 cargo capacity. My ‘18 Raptor is my daily driver and gives me most fun in the Summer. I also bought an ‘18 Shelby GT350 which is my weekend getaway...
To all new push button start vehicles... always lock you vehicle when not in it. For more protection buy and use the club on the steering wheel...tech geeks can steal your code and start your vehicle, the club delays this and they most likely will go for another vehicle, than chance getting caught.
Skip it if you will not use it. Add off road lights with money saved. I grew out of sunroofs decades ago, and rarely even use my convertible ‘56 or ‘02 Thunderbirds, which I am ready to sell.
I do not like these start/stop buttons.
In the early 2000 Fords, keys were chipped and much harder to steal. Ford went backwards with their new technology, so easy to steal and more electronics to fail and difficulties to repair.
Will have to check mine.
Sorry that this is occurring on such a...
A good mechanic recommended not to change factory oil until 5,000 miles and not to use full synthetic until I reach 10000 miles.
My dealer offered first three oil changes free and they use Motorcraft Synthetic Blend. I will go to Amsoil full synthetic on the fourth oil change.
Rotate tires every...
I too like the look of my Lead Foot Grey with all the graphics.
It actually looks more beastly and I have always liked two tone cars and trucks. I had a red and white 1960 Ford pickup and wish I had kept it. Only had the straight six and column shift, but she was a beauty.
As a 4x4 owner for 45 years, rebalance and realign at rotation is only needed when you are feeling wheel wobble or pulling to side before you rotate. I also do the rotation first myself and then road test the vehicle to at least 70mph checking for changes.
My dealer wanted to even charge me for...
I will calculate mileage on my next trip, since computer is off over a mile per gallon. That is over 36 less mile per tank, not critical with a thirty-six gal tank.
In over 50 years of driving mostly new vehicles, I never got what the manufacturer mpg was rated for. The fact is variables in locations, climate, driving conditions and how much pedal is used on take off and accelerating, always give different mpg.
If you drive like an egg was between the gas...
