Yes, the short cable required you to mount the GPS module upside down previously.
If I read correctly, it was a customer who suggested that was causing a host of problems. Turns out he was right!

I believe the Nav issues were discovered to be related to the Sync3 module being installed upside down. Once it was corrected, the GPS related applications were sorted!

Seems on the other thread one fella just received his with a cable long enough to allow for the Sync3 module to be right side up.
