Aftermarket mods, will I recoup dollars spent?

Jeeps with mods will generally attract more value than those without, but even there you’ll never recoup your costs. I do my mods to get more enjoyment out of my vehicles. In that way I’ve gotten plenty of value out of my mods. I will say that the bed rack and Decked systems I had in my Gen2...

Man, I can't remember what I ate yesterday.. It was some article published the date the RR was announced.

    Sooooooo close!

Hey, you do you man. I'm not gonna make fun of anyone. I used to have a burnt orange Explorer Sport and I'm not even a fan of the Horns.

    35 VS. 37 = SUPPLY AND DEMAND.

I can't deny that 37s are hella cool, but I'll take 35s any day. Besides, my Jeep already has 37s. I don't need it on my truck for the off roading I do.

Nah, you're looking at, at least, $4k for a wrap. That on top of the $82K MSRP, sales taxes, registration, etc. My favorite colors are between Code Red and Atlas Blue. However I could live with AntiMatter Blue, Black, White, and Silver. Maybe I'd consider a wrap after a couple years but each...

    Sooooooo close!

Yesterday, I was driving through my local dealers lot. They had two Raptors. Of course I went in to ask about them because the worse that can happen is the Raptors aren’t available. Of course they were already sold. However, the dealer has one coming in at $82k. This dealer does not charge ADM...

GM declares chip shortage is over. Good news?

Yea, Mary Barra said that and GM had to shutter another plant a week later. They still have multiple cars shipping without heated seats, steering wheels, steering wheel interlock, etc. There is still only a trickle of their SUVs available for purchase. The refreshed Silverado and Sierra were...

What did ya pay…..MSRP, ADM Poll

I’m giving up on getting a Raptor this year. Between the manufacturing delays and dealer markups I’m either going to wait it out for the 2023 model year or buy a Silverado ZR2. It’s definitely not a Raptor but it would suit my needs for now. I found exactly ONE dealer in Colorado that will not...

    Raptor prices going up

Looks like the base price of the Raptor is going up by $3300. This from a dealer memo that was uploaded on the f150gen14 forums. I guess Ford was tired of the dealers getting all the ADM action. Ford is increasing prices across the board but the Raptor is easily seeing the biggest increase...

Is anyone here cross-shopping other vehicles?

I'm 'considering' a Silverado ZR2. Obviously it's not nearly as capable as the Raptor, but it would serve my needs well. Also, my Chevy dealer told me they would honor GM's supplier discount IF it is offered on the ZR2. I've made no decisions yet but it's seems like a steep climb to even get a...

Looks like no BlueCruise for Raptor - 801a's READ!

I’m honestly surprised there are this many people that wanted Blue Cruise. I’m not criticizing anyone, I’m just surprised so many would want some sort of self driving on an enthusiast vehicle.

    Ford.com still 2021

Oh, they have IT all over the world. Dearborn, India, Europe, etc. I haven't had to deal with the folks in China. I believe they did do some US based IT staff cuts last year.

    Ford.com still 2021

I've dealt with Ford IT for years. They've got a lot of technical debt that they are avoiding. It's biting them in the rear. However I suspect this is more of Ford Marketing messing up and those supply shortages making it more challenging to assemble package offerings that Ford can actually deliver.
