You could try clearing the cache and data from the app in the main Android settings under apps. I sometimes have to do that with Waze since I run the beta versions and once in a while there are issues.

It does change if put into split mode though. The AA text under the display moves to the right side and the display area shrinks a little to the left and not as tall since it is over 50% if full screen and it needs to make room for the other app in split screen. Still usable but not as pleasing...
