lol thanks for the tag Yukon
I guess since it's my name, I'm entitled to a free drive whenever I'm in the area haha
Congrats on the truck, love the wheels on that color.
I do have a Gen 1, a Gen 2 will be in my future but I prefer to wait until a couple years into the run when it's...
Couple days late, but since it's my several year old thread that was bumped I'll post up lol
Definitely sounds like that ford dealership doesn't know raptors, if you have OEM SVT suspension and they're saying it's aftermarket. It's no surprise though, the dealer that my Raptor was courtesy...
1st off....yes I stalked out your profile to see new threads started since I figured you probably posted up when you got it haha.
Pretty cool story, and one long *** treck! Congrats on the truck! Next time I'm out to SD hopefully I can catch a ride in it, although it may not help trying to...
Mine is pretty consistent 2.31 sixty's with 15.0's with the intake/tune and full weight when fully warmed up. I never do a burnout with the Raptor though. I drive around the water box and pull right up. Between the softer offroad compound (factory tires) and the weight of the truck and a sticky...
What PSI were your tires at? I would get some spinning if they were at 45-50 like I normally run them, but down to 40 psi on a well prepped track they hooked fine, and less drag on the overall system than being in 4wd the whole time. Crappy prep/test & tune prep may even need to drop a few lbs...
It is really weird racing the Raptor with a 35" tire vs. my drag truck with a 28" skinny up front. Roll out is totally different. Really throws me off at NMRA because it's a pro tree, whereas my drag truck I normally race with a normal tree and shallow stage it for the best E/T. So shallow...
I've got a GB going on the L forums for $275 + shipping. Once the group deal is up the price will go up just because I won't get as good of deals on components buying enough for 50 kits at once.
On that note, I actually build kits for the Lightning/Harley truck guys that install the Raptor fans into their trucks. Uses plug & play connectors, and controls the fans off a 175* temp sensor switch that goes into the block, or manually triggered on via an in-cab switch. There's 3 modes of...
That's pretty badazz!!!!
I can't wait to see some times with a few bolt-on mods.
My G1 Raptor I've actually ran quite a bit in the 1/4 mile. I've got a 9 second Harley truck that I normally drag race, but if it's broken, or I'm on travel and near a drag strip, I can't resist making a few...
I'm at 50k now so I'll be doing an oil change once the weather clears up and I'll see then. I did the hose around 46k miles. Hopefully it's not leaking I"ll be pissed lol
Well it is also a truck, so maybe he bought a Raptor because he wanted an offroad capable vehicle that could also do truck stuff, like haul and tow, which they can do too ya know.
If you're only towing occasionally, and within the tow ratings of the Raptor, there's really not a need to buy...
