I have had this for 3 years and haven’t had any problems. I’m stage 2 tuned also. Make sure the rubber groove on the filter is seated properly on the air box ( yellow arrows ). ‍♂️

Easy (16)10mm bolts to remove. It does look better and the holes line up with the truck doors . Thanks for posting!

Ended up sanding and polishing the hooks down to the aluminum on the outer edges. Matches the skid plate and not so much in your face looking.

Here are pictures of how far the hooks poke out. Measured from the silver skid plate.

Just changed back to red ones, the third hole you’re talking about to recess the hooks more is used for the oem skid plate mount and won’t work with the factory bumper.

Yep, from the side they look buckey . I got them and a red pair for less than 1/2 off on Amazon warehouse deals.. figured I'd give them a chance.

They do stick out a couple of inches, I guess for easier hook up and a tool for shorter people to use as a step to get to the engine bay.

The Gold ones match the DRLs. Still on the fence if I like the look yet.

I read where another member used a ratchet strap to rejoin the muffler to the trombone loop. I attached the strap to the frame in front of the trombone loop and the other end to the back of the muffler and slowly ratcheted the two sections together.
