Someone school me why people in Cali don't buy out of state in order to get a reasonable deal and pay small shipping fee to get truck to them vs paying over sticker in state? Msrp + 3500 mark up or 5-8k under sticker + 500-1000 shipping.... seems like a no brainer. I see this all the time...

I hauled some 12ft deck boards, 2x10x12's and few 2x8x12's for the deck i built. Tailgate up. Everything loaded. Then folded the bed cover down to where is rested on boards. Tie down across ends resting on tailgate. No issues at all.
