RPG LT Vs. SVC LT or Mid Travel

Go with the mid travel over the podium for sure.

    Giant motorsports ddl kit install

I'd say so. Geoff says he has put them on diesel f250's. I think we might be using them harder up here than they do down south ?

    Giant motorsports ddl kit install

As a wrap up to this adventure, I'd have to say the ddl does not work as delivered. The axle dampers had no hope of controlling pinion angle, regardless of valving, oil viscosity, and nitrogen pressure adjustment. The anti squat behaviour was very poor, and required excessive damping in the...

GEN 2 Upgrading Speakers & Subwoofer

http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=3704 Totally flat signal, they scoped it on diyca to confirm. All factory processing, including that rascally volume dependent eq, is gone. Forscan is solid gold !

    School me - Icon 3.0's

3.0's/bumps/deavers make the otherwise stock raptor capable of traveling about 30% faster over small to medium sized terrain. They will not provide a smoother ride at lower speeds, in fact I found the icons much, much worse for ride quality at lower speeds. The fox 3.0's are vastly better in...

GEN 1 Ford raptor steering rack issue

The drivers side output bushing wearing is a common failure point. When purchasing a new rack, make sure it is not a remanufactured unit. Ford rebuilds them with old cores and does not fix the bushings. It's possible to get a worn unit out of the box. H&m does make a swing steering setup...

GEN 1 How can you cycle rear suspension

The leaf pack needs to be stripped down to a single leaf.

GEN 1 '13 Raptor Rear End Whine / Humming anyone?

Whining from the rear is typically pinion bearing. Rumbling is usually a carrier bearing. If you have a vacuum leak or failed iwe hub, they make a noise as they are partially engaged. You sure it's coming from the rear ?

GEN 1 Broken Bed - Ugh!

Hard to tell from the pics where the original point of failure was, that would be telling in terms of stress load. The video in your original post doesn't work. I've had to weld channel across the front of the bed, and square tubing under the "rail" as well, but that was mostly because I had...

GEN 1 Broken Bed - Ugh!

The way that failed, it looks like the front of the bed was loose. I'm not sure what you are describing with the shock mounts being the contact point, but if the lateral "rib" was not in contact with the frame, that is likely the cause.

If my wife approves... new suspension.

Hah, if you're going all the way, go all the way. I don't think the bolt kit could be considered all the way. Dual setups are about the most bang for the buck, reusing the factory coilover. They're a good bit faster than a single 3.0. You don't need uca, or even tie rods, just an external...

whipple vs Roush I know 100 times

Curious if the gear failures are more on the roush's, whipples, or an even split ? It would stand to reason that the roush would be more at risk as the compressor is using more hp to make x amount of power, especially as it's edged towards the outside of it's efficiency curve. As in the rotating...

No changes to the link to axle interface. Just tabbed the tops of those axle shock mounts to use for a sway bar link connection.

whipple vs Roush I know 100 times

Yup, 3.25 pulley. Neither one of these guys has done the oil pump gears, and they're in a hp race. I'm waiting to see which one pops first. On a side note, I was looking in to doing a max effort naturally aspirated build with the 6.2 and was truly saddened by ford's engineering on the heads...

whipple vs Roush I know 100 times

I know a guy with the stage 2 whipple, and a guy with the stage 2 roush. On paper the whipple should have the advantage, but in reality the opposite is true. The roush comes on lower, and is just faster overall. As has been mentioned, unless you go to forged internals and up the blower rpm...
