Please point me to a thread if this has been covered but I didn’t find it. I want to put all four OEM Rigid lights on the regular fog light button/functionality to free up AUX1.
Anyone know how best to get them wired together and if I need to look out for any issues?
Update (Gen 3, but may apply to Gen 2). I can confirm it’s the FORScan version, not having a tune, that impacts whether VDM can load. I updated my FORScan version and lost the date there. Tried uninstalling my tune after reading this thread and no dice. Tried reverting back to FORScan 2.3.48 and...
How were your update setting configured? I’m questioning if I have my truck set up in a way that this will happen. I don’t lock it at night and have specified overnight hours it can run updates.
Highly doubt it can help with that. Forescan helps you enable or disable features which are coded into the truck's modules, assuming the hardware is there to support it. Setting up a custom function which amounts to a script doesn't seem to me like something it could do. That's also coming from...
Your explanation makes a lot of sense and I think you're spot on. Since making this thread I updated that I checked calibration of my shocks with FORScan and they thought they were about an inch more compressed than they were, making the ride harder. After recalibrating it's much better but it's...
Great comment, thanks. This makes me think some degree of jolt from abrupt, low-amplitude bumps is normal for the truck. I think my expectations just aren't in line with reality and a lot of guys just don't think about those jolts as unusual. The little depressions for manhole covers (which are...
@blwn can you explain why this said the following?:
- If you have a saved profile select "No" to create a new profile.
(These can be managed in the profiles tab if you want to delete previous profiles)
I did this to my Gen 3 and it worked. I did just select the profile I'd made for my truck...
As beachz said I’ve been whining about a surprisingly stiff ride compared to my 2018. No mods and 1600mi on the truck now. Found the link above and decided to try it. The ‘before’ readings were with no mods. Truck did sit in Dearborn for quite a while, so it doesn’t have the miles but it’s had a...
Check THIS out!! I had a feeling my ride was too stiff, compared to my Gen 2 and what everyone says about Gen 3 being butter. I dug up this Gen 2 guide and tried it. Minor extra step to put the live shocks in engineering mode but FORScan explains it during the procedure.
Huge difference in ride...
BOOM! Found this link and tried this in FORScan. There’s one minor difference but the software had a clear explanation for the procedure to put the live shocks in engineering mode. Just took it for a ride on a rough road and it’s a pronounced improvement!
I agree off road mode seems a bit more jiggly and the differences between modes is small. The firmness I'm experiencing is in Sport suspension mode and is only worse in Normal and Off-Road.
This isn't a sound or suspension clunk. It's a physical stiffness when going over bumpy roads. I read all about the clunk and saved the relevant info on it before my truck was even delivered (in case mine was affected). My build was two days before the cutoff for that, but I don't think my...
