IMO all normal with the exception of the drip - try tightening down that clamp and see if it goes away. There will be water downstream of the catalytic converter on cold startup; this is not unique to the Raptor.
I did the same, but from NY metro to the Inland Empire. For those of you who complain about LA drivers, try New York or New Jersey... those folks will reset your expectations! I actually see some semblance of lane discipline in SoCal but heck maybe my standards are just really low. Parking and...
Interesting feedback! And yes - certainly first world problems. Turns out Ox3721 is right if you look at the specs at Tire Rack. The 37's weigh 63 lbs and the 35's weigh 65 lbs.
OK... she's staying as-is. Appreciate the feedback!
Hey All,
So I've lived with my 37PP for a few weeks now (sure the 37's look nice) but I find myself liking the feel of the 35's on my gen 2 better. The truck is more responsive, there is less unspring mass, MPGs are better, truck feels snappier, etc.
If I were to opt to replace my 37PP OEM...
Yep that's exactly what I'm thinking. I've never had a sludge issue over many vehicles and keep to 5k change intervals with good quality synthetics. Suspending solids (if any) by warming up the oil is definitely one of the keys to a clean crank case. I'm not quite buying the sludge story from...
That's a little concerning. But also thinking that more frequent oil changes using full synthetic + jacking the truck to make up for the level difference will likely solve this issue. All while not making a huge mess when draining the oil.
Hey All,
I used the F107SX with a drain hose on my gen 2 and eventually grew old while waiting for the oil to drain. Thinking about going with this one (F137N) this time around. For those of you who use these valves, is there enough clearance to fit this thingy in the gen 3?
CA is a different animal altogether but most posts above are accurate. The big delta here in CA is that the state WILL collect it's sales tax at any cost. I've tried buying cars here with out-of-state sales tax and dealers have been hit hard before so they simply don't care. Their stance is that...
Sounds like a dealer just trying to get your money right now - no cause for alarm. No way in heck Ford will "stop" production of their most profitable line of vehicles even with part shortages still a factor. They will (and have been) building 99% trucks and just finishing assembly when...
Yeah I saw that was sitting at $61k the other day, but definitely not built by Hennessey. But these days, NOT being a Hennessey product might be a good thing? Ha!
