Where about in Montana are you from? I'm in Missoula. You'll love the truck for winter. I've been through 9 winters with my truck now and never had anything comparable to it in the past. It's a blast in the snow!
I have the 5.4. Had it going on 7 years now. No issues. As stated, it's not the 6.2, but it gets the job done every time. Yeah, you'll lose in a race against the 6.2, but just going down trails and doing normal truck stuff, it works just fine.
I can't for the life of me find the proper part number for the coils. I'm being told that they are straight, but fit guides online are showing ones with a bend. And when I find the straight ones, it says it won't fit. I'm confused lol. I need to get them replaced and I'm wanting to get some...
That's just from an old rubber adapter that ripped and has nothing to do with the connection. I promise you the intake is sealed from the filter to the TB. I do get the same problem with the stock air intake. I was trying this one in the video just to see if that was part of the problem.
So it's not the air intake. Took it to Ford and of course it works fine the whole time. Get it home and it acts up again. Attached a video of the issue. The pops at the beginning you hear are coming from the intake. Could it be bad coils? Plugs? This only happens every so often...
Would a tear in the rubber connector that connects the cold air intake to the throttle body cause something like this? I found a big tear in the hose earlier today.
My truck just started having a very rough idle, but only when it's raining out. Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated. I have the 5.4. No CEL so far. Going to clean the MAF and throttle body tonight. Any other ideas?
I have a set of Baja designs 6 inch prerunner HIDs and I love them! Throw lots of light, both wide and far and have stood up to the elements. I live in Montana and my truck doesn't ever see a garage so they have survived both heat and ice with no problems
