I had the same dilemma….ended up goin OEM, after many negative reviews and experiences with aftemarket coils in particular the MSD brand

You hope so¿? A few weeks ago I thought diferente sanarioooos when I first noticed a different sound; is it the pavement(s)/roads changing as I travelled down to FL from ME; is it my KO3s starting to hit the wear noise level? Then I investigated further as the sounds grew louder every day ever...

Ditto…see the wear on the bearings and the race? 152K miles

Now that she is all buttoned up…a good power wash and a tire rotation. Took her out for a test run and everything worked perfectly…no runs, leaks or errors!

I did reuse the original shims(test installed it with new crushed sleeve, checked out within spec and measurements!) saved on not having to disassemble more than once!), and did replace the crush sleeve and new pinion nut…the pinion pic has the new bearings installed , but used the old crush...

I had previously replaced the pinion seal, new fluid and Spicer cover at 100K. The fluid previously and now were not bad. This time there were tiny shavings but no bits or chips. In a previous post I showed the worn bearings

All new bearings, races and seals. The ring gear, spider gears and pinion were in good shape and within spec…only the original bearings and races were worn! I will just have to settle with a rebuilt rear for another 160K and missed my opportunity to get a sexy new Currie Raptor Race unit!

Finally got round 2 it…and rebuilt Ms Big Hips‘ rear-end …

Sarcasm; “The wrong part was like this…see how they are an exact replacement”. Maybe I was not clear enough; the original set were the correct boxes and part numbers for the shaft bearings, however one had an oil bearing inside, misplaced previously or the parts/warehouse technician expert...

No. The wrong part was in the box(axle shaft bearings were what I ordered). I didn’t take a pic. I sent them back and I just got the correct one. The wrong part was like this…see how they are an exact replacement
