    Gen 2 overheating(?)

In mine, I thought it most likely it was the Tstat.

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

I disabled my shutters open and it didn’t fix it. Good luck I hope you figure it out. My local shop found a code for shutters put couldn’t replicate. My local dealer is incompetent. So, no way to really fix it.

GEN 2 18 Months of Raptor Ownership, summized.

Great real world review. +1 Parks Ford sux and Bozard service is excellent! They did my cam phasers after Parks said "completely normal". I had very similar fuel mileage for mixed driving and had a list of issues during the time I had mine similar to yours.

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

Another update! I left my truck with a local shop. They could not replicate the temp getting high enought to cause the numeric indicator. They did scan for codes and said they found an active shutter code and could not command the rad shutter to open. When I start the truck, both lower and upper...

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

Update on this issue. Yesterday I drove over 500 mi to GA/TN mountains from FL flatlands. Air temps in the 80’s. I have a Garmin gps that monitors several parameters including coolant temp via OBDII. On gentle upslope approx 10 sec or longer in 10th gear with constant boost, temp would rise to...

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

I was thinking of that but weird that it never occurred in the 6+ months since the repair… Thanks for the feedback!

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

Before the repair I have driven the same route on I95 several times and it never happened before on the small bridges where it did yesterday. It has never happened since the repair till yesterday either and I drove this route back in July. I’m not sure it’s connected to the repair work done back...

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

Hi @FordTechOne thabks very much for your quick reply! Your continued contribution to this forum is extremely valuable and fantastic! To be clear, I’m not monitoring anything other than what the stock cluster gives me (e.g. no forscan etc). When I was mentioning the temperature numbers, they...

    Gen 2 overheating(?)

Hi everyone, Strange observation today on a road trip from SC to FL. I noticed that on small hills in SC or even bridges going up an incline that the numerical temp would indicate as I went up the incline. I doesn’t Indicate with the numbers at all normally. Typically the temp number would pop...

    GEN 2 Tire wear

Original set of my KO2's had 6-7/32 at 43k mi. They were getting a bit loud and in 2H on rainy roads could get a little squirreley. I went with discount tire $1200 for the OEM tires since they had a $100 rebate. New KO2s were so quiet and still pretty good with 17k mi on them.

    GEN 1 2011 with 176k miles worth 25k?

Yeah....NO. Prices are stupid. If you can wait a year do it (as I say this to convince myself).

    GEN 2 Shifting Issue

I have an 18 and have had the tranny addressed under warranty a couple years ago. I forget details. Software updated? Took several hours. Shifting improved but 4-5 is still weird and sport mode is jerky in some cases but better than before. I wonder if all the Ford 10 speeds are as weird? My...

Gen 2 Owners: Are you going to Gen 3, Gen 3-R or staying with your Gen 2??

I love my Gen 2 but I have a wandering eye and I get bored. The high prices offered lately ($55k for my 18 w almost 60k) have been tempting. But there’s nothing else I really like. I have had SUVs and I think they fit my life a bit better than a pickup. That said, I love the height of the Rap...
