I have been having the same problem with my front camera. It doesn't happen that often (maybe 10 times since new 2017), but it does go blank and/or green screen. Anecdotally for me, it seems like it happens when my truck is parked outside in the hot FL sun and the camera (could be module in...
I have the Ridge Grapplers on my 2017, and love them on and off road. Upgraded from the OEM Ko2's around 24K, when they started slipping and sliding with any real acceleration. Discount tire has a great price and $100 off promo thru tomorrow.
The part and labor was warrantied.... the service mgr said it was a $5 part that could have caused thousands in damage. Not sure that $5 or $20 makes much of a difference, when it's easily changed out. Just my .02 (pun intended).
Google the part number, and you'll find a couple of good YouTube videos showing the part and easy replacement. The new part # ends in B not A. The new part is easily identified with a blue not black jacket. It is supposed to be a common problem, and worth the 5$ to replace even if not leaking...
I had a similar problem with my 2017, and it turned out to be a bad check valve tube assbly FL3Z*3A788*B that was replaced under warranty. Without the vacuum it is always unintentionally trying to slightly lock the wheel, producing the grinding sound. The dealer should also inspect the wheel...
It definitely comes painted... the stock color matched perfect with the original on my magnetic gray. It's very easy to install... literally the old pops off and the new on with the original retention clips.
Not sure if you realize... but the optimum positioning for best detector performance is as high up as possible (not blocked by any magnetic based tint), in the center of the windshield and pointing ever so slightly downwards. Mounting on the dashboard blocks a lot of signal from the large hood...
Thanks for the feedback... definitely would miss the performance difference with the PC removed. Even when I turn it down to a lower city mode, it makes such a noticeable difference. Agreed that if I was going in for an oil change and basic service it would be nothing to worry about, but asking...
Thanks for the feedback... that's what I've been thinking, but was kinda hoping someone talked me out of it. Not lazy, but that secure clip on the pedal is always a pain. Thx!
Just a quick question regarding what others do when they bring their Raptor in for factory service. I have 15K miles on a 2017, and besides the standard oil change/service I was going to have the dealer perform the Transmission tech service bulletin pertaining to occasional rough shifting...
Referral code only works with a minimum spend of $49... OK if you know it works well for you, but not so great if you just want to try it first for $20 and see first hand.
