Pretty sure they’re the same, so price would be the only difference. They released the 16w (that’s the part number, the w does not mean watt) after the point one (which was out of my price range). My baja 5m came with the 16w, which is exactly the same as the point 1.

I run a Baja 5 with the external antenna and have never lost signal, highly recommend you stick with the 5 and add the LGC 16W antenna for $65 and go from there.. Unless money is no object then get a new HDS color with external antenna.

@whatexit, I saw a $58k number in the article but that must have been another currency. $38k + 4-6k in options + 5k in mods and we’re back in the 50s with taxes..
