Question for former Gen 2 owners now in a Gen 3.

I owned 2 Gen 2’s, and now in a Gen 3. The new 5 link and coils make the Gen 3 drive noticeably better not only on the road but off road. Having this truck as a daily driver, the interior update is pretty nice as well.

    9/12/2022 Build Week

ETA keeps getting pushed back. Truck has been “in production” since the 19th of September. I found out what it’s waiting on through a FRF member who has a friend that works for Ford.

Need Help! Dealer has had Truck for almost 2 months, still can’t figure out problem.

The disgusting part to me is letting a $1k per month truck sit at the dealer for 2 months because none of their techs can figure out what the issue is. Luckily I didn’t have to use a lemon law lawyer because my dealer actually helped me through the lemon process. It’s not a fun process...

Need Help! Dealer has had Truck for almost 2 months, still can’t figure out problem.

It differs from state to state. In California it is much easier to lemon vehicles. If a lawyer takes your case you pay no money out of pocket and ford has to pay them about $3k just for writing a letter stating they need to lemon law your vehicle.

Need Help! Dealer has had Truck for almost 2 months, still can’t figure out problem.

Contact a lemon law lawyer in your state. My 2018 Gen 2 had a couple issues that kept it in the shop for 50 days. Here in CA, lemon law states that if either your vehicle has the same issue 3 times or it is in the shop for more than 30 days it meets the requirements. If a lemon law lawyer...

    Cam Phaser debacle

Truck was brand new, 2019 that I ordered after Ford bought my 2018 back. And I was told camshaft actuator by the dealer, but after looking into it, it does look like it was the solenoids.

    Cam Phaser debacle

I had the exact same issue, P0018 and P0021 codes. Engine rattle that kept getting worse, Loss of power and Misfiring while idling, truck actually shut off at a light. Dealer replaced cam phasers and timing chain. But this did not fix the issue other than the rattle. Took it back, and...
