I had **** Cepek Fun Country II for a while - I'd say stay away from them. They are horrible when it comes to picking up rocks and spitting them out. Just horrible. I happily replaced them even though they only had a few thousand miles on them.
Not sure what brand of resonator was installed. I had it done by a local muffler shop and asked for the shortest (loudest?) one - I believe it is 18" long. If I had kept the factory resonator I would have used it, but that got cut off long ago. I guess Ford put it on for a reason.
I too have the borla and deleted the resonator. The drone got to me after a trip from Missoula to Moab. I put on an aftermarket resonator after that and right away noticed a difference - yes, it is quieter now. But zero drone - much more comfortable in the cabin. The weird thing is that I...
I have the Mickey Thompson's Baja ATZ's and LOVE them. I live in Montana so I probably see similar driving conditions as those in the NE. Plenty of snow traction, good in rain, and fairly quiet on the dry highway. I say fairly because they are big and an all terrain tire and not a mileage...
That's what I'm running right now. I had them on my last truck and was really pleased - not much road noise, they were light, good snow traction (up in Montana), decent mileage, and I like the outlined white letters. So it was a no brainer putting them on the raptor. Then, the company was...
I have to concur with the drone issue. I have a super 44 and LOVE the sound, but at 65-80 mph it almost hurts. I wish there was something that sounds nasty as hell everywhere but cruising speeds. I would not get a super 44 if you plan on doing any highway driving or traveling.
Every bike I have is too long to keep both wheels mounted and have it sit straight in the bed (too slack of a head angle I guess) so I decided to get a front axle mount from Rocky Mounts. It is lockable so it does give some level of security. I had a local fabricator (the line-x guy actually)...
I have installed them and they look great. Instead of running the wires forward, under the vehicle, and to a switch (way too much work) I just ran the wires under the bed rails to the rear led markers (there is a small gap under the bed rail at the rear of the vehicle. I took out my tail light...
Update: May 12 delivery - YEEEEHAAAAAA! 91 days from order to possession which seemed like an eternity. Now comes the furious pace of installing all of the goodies I have been stockpiling over those 91 days. It's weird, but I feel like I don't want anyone to see the truck until I've got all...
I think First Truck is right, ordering a bunch of mods now might take our minds off the wait. Plus, it's like getting Christmas presents every time the UPS man drives up!
I don't know how my case applies to others, but for anybody comparing posts of order/build date lag, I got a build date today of April 11, and ordered it on February 11. Exactly a 2 month lag time - mine is a black scab. Good luck to all those waiting to get their first phone call confirmation...
