I appreciate everyone's feedback and the more I read them the more I started to realize that I will actually prefer the V6 raptor. My main use for the Gen 2 raptor has been as a long haul hunting vehicle. I live in South Carolina and I annually either make a trek to New Mexico for elk or...
I have a 2020 Gen 2 raptor that's pushing 50,000 miles and I'm ready to get a new one. I really love this truck by the way. Been shopping around and I am finding new ones similarly equipped are going for right around 90k and I'm not finding any dealers willing to budge. I would love to go...
@NickyF25 I agree slow production is the driver of pricing above MSRP. Too many dollars chasing too few goods. The Fed IS going to cool this economy, but our government keeps adding stimulus so this isn't going to end well. But good Americans that did not over extend themselves may well find...
Unless the stock market completely crashes interest rates are going to continue to climb (probably .5% per month), credit utilization is climbing and consumers are beginning to fall behind on revolving credit payments with defaults increasing. I believe the price declines are much closer than...
2 questions.
How much longer will this crazy dealership pricing continue?
When it does return to the days when deals at invoice or less can be found, what will the economic cause(s) be?
I personally believe it will happen in 2023 and it will be caused by continuing interest rate increases...
Glad Ford is producing it, but it's not for me. My current 2020 is plenty fast and fairly economical to operate. I live in South Carolina and have taken it on 4 hunting trips to the rockies, 1 hunt in west texas and a moose hunt in Newfoundland. The gen 2 has performed flawlessly in every...
Saw a TRX on the road yesterday for the first time and I really tried to look at it subjectively not as a purpose built truck to compete directly with the raptor. From a pure power and speed standpoint there's no denying it is impressive. However, in my opinion, it's just not a very nice...
@zombiekiller even the Carli folks will tell you there's limits to the offroad performance possible with even their full pin top system on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. They are not going off road as well as a similarly equipped f150 let alone a gen 2 raptor.
But they are awesomely engineered...
If ANY truck can pull out a stump, then it wasn't much of a stump. Even with a D5 it takes a good deal of effort to get a decent size stump out. An excavator is the right machine for popping out stumps. A 320 Cat will get it done, but if you're clearing land a 330 is what you want.
My truck whistles the intro to Guns and Roses Patience when I shut it off, but I think it has more to do with my irritation from morons driving slow in the left lane
I was coming from Denver to South Carolina this past weekend and on Sunday morning we got just east of Nashville and hit black ice. Several tractor trailers jack knifed and crashed cars everywhere. I changed lanes at about 40 mph and we almost spun out. I told my wife to pull out the raptor...
I agree with most, the Gen 2 is the perfect blend of speed and handling. Anymore speed is unusable and additional weight from a giant motor will degrade the handling. Now I will be a buyer if they come out with a raptor that is actually a leap forward in technology such as some type of hybrid...
We will all know if the TRX is an all time classic like the Raptor, if and when there is some feature of the TRX that owners of every other brand of truck that wish they had a raptor begins copying like the 3 marker lights on the grill. There are many more trucks on the road that aren't raptors...
