I’ve had the same low speed front end clunk also in my gen 1. I put gen 2 shocks all the way around and still had it. The clunking noise in mine ended up being the upper control arms were loose. I tightened them up and the clunk is completely gone.

I’ve read that article, but I did the swap anyway and it works great for what I use it for.

I also have gen 2 shocks, front and rear on my gen 1. I was also wanting to put some limit straps on mine. I haven’t tried measuring anything yet but if anyone has done the limit straps let us know what size you used.
