To the OP,
EBC green stuff pads is a good upgrade over the factory pads. They will give you some of the "bite" feeling you're looking for. However, be prepared for extra brake dust on your front wheels. The pads are not clean by any means.
A few more pics of the new shock/install. New shock from RockAuto showed up in good shape as expected. Spent 2 hrs swapping it over. Truck rides super smooth again! Now to rebuild the leaking shock and put it on the driver side so both front shocks are fresh.
ESP will not cover it. Kinda figured as much so i ordered 1 new one from Rock auto. Plan is to rebuild the leaking one eventually and swap in onto the driver side. This way both front shocks will be fresh with minimal down time on the truck.
rather then start a new thread i figured i try to piggy-back off this one first. So the big a$$ rock that took out the sidewall of my tire (and dented the beadlock ring) apparently blew my shock (pass side front) as well. I have a nice puddle of shock oil on my garage floor and the shock and...
Yeah, the ring took the hit mostly, and the sidewall. But then when i was hanging the flat tire back under the truck, i put the wheel face down (instead of facing up towards the bed) and the metal plate the the the spare hangs from scratched the S#!T out of the center of the wheel too! So my...
Ricoman - Thank you very much but do you happen to know where the "L" shaped metal bracket is/goes? Its supposedly a wheel chock. I dont see it in your pics and im pretty sure mine was attached with the jack somehow. Or maybe it was in the jack handle soft case... IDK.
Either way, thx again!
I went 4 wheeling this past weekend in the snow (Arizona lol) and a rock took out the sidewall on one of my tires. Anyway, i cant figure out how the wheel **** piece goes back under the seat (that is in our jack kit). Anyone with a SUPERCAB raptor have a pic of the jack and wheel chock mounted...
I installed a 20" Rigid SR in my bumper this past weekend. I get that there are TONS of pics of light bars in bumpers, but most are dual row bars that fill the opening. The SR left a large gap to be filled so i cut the plastic to fit back in around the bar and made my own mounts. A little...
Thank you for the pic. Looks like a decent amount of space before contact. I think id rather shorten the stroke of the bump stop a 1/2" to keep it from contacting to soon rather then mess with the nitro charge.
thx again!
